Twentymile Coal Company provided copies of WET testin, reports as well.
Results of WET tests indicate that discharges at NPDES point 001 failed for samples analyzed on
October 27 and 28, 1998, for both Ceriodaphnia dubia and Pimepheles promelas. NPDES site 005 also
exhibited failures for both tests conducted on the same days. The Division verified calculations of
Manganese compilation point 0019A. Initially, Twentymile Coal Company had not submitted adequate
detail to allow the Division to determine the calculations. Upon a telephone discussion with Mr. Joe
Shoemaker, Twentymile Coal Company faxed down the additional data to show Manganese loading rates
used for calculating this value. Please include the Mn loading spreadsheet with future DMR reports.
The submitted reports are incompliance with Rule 4.05.13(2)(a)(iii).
alist
c:\jhb\c820~6\dmr\271 ~4gtr98
Cc: Dan Hernandez, DMG
Sincerely, \
