PM
Water Division 4, Water District 28, Gunnison County
Dear Craig:
Enclosed is the application for approval of a substitute water supply plan putsttaat to
C.RS. § 37-90-137 for the above referenced facility. The project is located southeast of
Gunnison, along Tomichi Creek, which is tributary to the Gutmison R{ver. Most of the values
used in this application were taken from the decree in Case No. 96CW267. Due to time
constraints sod an adequate water supply, the bases for these values have not beets analyzed.
Wetlands credit have not been claimed. Therefore, Varra Companies, Inc. reserves its right to
modify these values in futtme ttutewal applications.
The project's water use is evaporation from ground water exposed after December 31,
1980, dust cool, and water lost with the product. The projected annual use during mining is
97.46 acre-feet. The water supply used for the operation derives from ownership in the Griming
No. 1 Ditch. An additional 54.46 acres of lead irrigated by this ditch will be dried up.
Please let me know if there are any questions or comments.
Enclostm
P.
