Please be awaze, also, that sliding has once again caused a waterline leak neaz <br />West Elk Mine's substation. The area was excavated, the line repaired and the <br />area backfilled. After the area settles, the slopes will be regraded and seeded. A <br />small section of the bin wall type retaining wall below the access road has <br />slumped a bit from the weight of the heavy, saturated soils and from the <br />excavation work. After the "slide season" passes, MCC will evaluate repairs to <br />the wall.
