History and Location of Mines <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The Burro mining complex consists of three shafts and one adit, the Burro No. 3, Burro <br />No. 5, Burro No. 7 and Burro Adit. The complex is located one mile Northwest of <br />Slickrock, CO. Mining consisted of track and trackless operations conducted in a <br />random room and pillar, open stops fashion. Barren waste and sub-economical <br />minerals were stockpiled at each mine. Ore grade minerals were shipped to the <br />Uravan mill for refinement. The mining started in the mid-fifties and operated off and <br />on through the early eighties. <br />The Sunday mining cornplex consists of the Sunday, West Sunday, Topaz, St Jude, <br />Carnation and GMG Mines. The complex is located five miles Northeast of Slickrock, <br />CO. Mining consisted of track and trackless operations conducted in a random room <br />and pillar, open stops fashion. Barren waste and sub-economical minerals were <br />stockpiled at each mine. Ore grade minerals were shipped to the Uravan and Blending <br />mills for refinement.
