As requested, copies of this report were submitted
to the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG), Colorado Department of Public
Health and Environment (CDPHE) and Weld County Department of Environmental Health.
The approximate location of the site is shown on Figures 1 and 2 which are attached to this
report.
1. BACKGROUND
The subject facility is leased by Aggregate Industries -WCR, Ina (Aggregate Industries) and
is used for the mining of aggregates and production of asphalt pavement. A 10,000-gallon
diesel-fuel above-ground storage tank (AST) was utilized at the site for the fueling of on-site
machinery and vehicles. During the reconciliation of the April 2001 inventory records for
the AST, it was discovered that a release had occurred from the diesel-fuel system.
