4. Statement of plan for augmentation, covering all applicable matters under C.R.S. 1973, 37-92-103(9),
302(1) and 305(8): (give Full details of plan)
Applicant operates a gold
Section 5, Township 11 South,
Exhibit A, a -}" MIDLAND put
at a rate of 290 gallons per mir
the pump. At the screen the v
medium and is then returned to
the water travels some one hun
processing plant located in the NW}SW}SE}
Range 80 West, 6th P.M. As shown on attached
np, using a sixty foot suction line, pumps water
jute to a trommel screen some eighty feet from
eater acts as a flocculating and separating
the pond from whence it came. From the screen
dred feet before it reenters the pond.
Placer operations will be carried on annually for not to exceed one hundred
twenty days during the approximate period of May 20 to September 15. Weather
will dictate the starting and ending time each year.
Operating the pump(pumps) five hours per day at a pumping rate of
290 gallons per minute yields a daily use of 87,000 gallons. Pumping one hundred
twenty days per year give an annual useage of 10,440,000 gallons, or 32 acre feet.
The Willow Creek Pond, source of the pumped water, has a surface area of
approximately 21,000 square feet, or 0.482 acre. This is a naturally occurring
pond and the only consumptive use will be that retained In the washed gravel
and lost in transit during the one hundred foot return trip to the pond. At this
altitude of 9,500 feet, the loss during the return trip is negligible, The normally
accepted loss in a gravel operation is 3 to 4°s. In this case, however, the gravel
is not hauled away. It will, therefore, drain directly back into the pond one
hundred feet away and the loss can be considered to be more on the order of one
to two percent. .01 x 32 = .32 acre ft.
.02 x 32 = ,64 acre ft.
.96 t 2 = 0.48 arse ft,
Continued on another_page. _ _. _ - -- - ---
~~
Sirn• r IApplicam lur AUOrngl
Addrtr, of Applicam lur A¢orneyl
Telephone No. 303 4S!(o bS'77
Attorney Registration No.
STATI?
