<br />-. <br /> <br /> <br />COIDRADO <br />HISTORICAL <br />SOCIETY <br />The Colorado History Museum 1300 Broadway Denver, Colorado 80203.2137 <br />June 22, 1993 <br />Bill York-Feirn <br />Division of Minerals and Geology <br />1313 Sherman Street, Rm. 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />Re: Robinson Brick Company, Navajo Clay Pit, /J M-93-004 <br />Dear Mr. York-Feirn: <br />This office has reviewed the cultural resource report prepared by William <br />Arbogast for the Navajo Clay Pit. <br />This office concurs that sites SEL268, SEL269, SEL270, SEL271 and SEL273 <br />are not eligible to the National or State Register of Historic Places. <br />These sites are small lithic scatters with no diagnostic artifacts, ground <br />stone or features. There is no permanent water in the area and little <br />likelihood for subsurface materials. We also concur that SEL272 should be <br />tested to determine if there are cultural materials related to the bone. <br />It is our understanding that the area around SEL272 will not be mined, <br />therefore we will concur with the no effect determination.
