Dear Mr. Loye:
The following information is provided as Homestake Mining Company's
response to the Division's adequacy review for the Pitch Project Permit
Amendment. Specifically, the information below responds to the following
items forwarded to us through your office:
1. Review letter from Mr. Hal Simpson of the Colorado Division of
Water Resources, dated April 9, 1984.
2. Review memorandum from Dr. Jim Pendleton concerning geotechnical
aspects of the amendment, dated March 28, 1984.
3. Review memorandum from Mr. Bob Liddle concerning the hydrologic
aspects of the amendment, dated March 27, 1984.
4. Review memorandum from Mr. William Beavers concerning surface
revegetation and stabilization, dated June 8, 1984.
5. U. S. Forest Service review letter from Mr. Ray Evans concerning
surface water, right-of-way fences, and stabilization, dated
April 30, 1984.
The information submitted also incorporates the clarification of certain
issues as a result of the July 12, 1984 meeting between the Division staff
and Homestake personnel.
The information is organized according to the questions raised and
observations made. Our references are generally organized in the same order
Division personnel provided items to us.
