Box 1044 <br />Salida, CO 81201 <br />Dear Mr. Sandell: <br />The proposal by Colorado Lime Company to purchase or trade for [he survey parcels located <br />within the patented mine claim boundaries of the Monarch Quarry under the Small Tracts Ac[ <br />has been reviewed by [his office and it appears that these parcels are the proper subject of <br />disposal as you proposed. Our 2002 program of work does not include processing this case this <br />year due to a large backlog of work. However, we will begin processing the case and doing the <br />field work in the summer and hope to have the case complete in late 2002 or early 2003. <br />I understand that your application is for the purpose of filling a requirement on a 1 12 <br />Reclanruion Permit Application with the State of Colorado, Deparunent of Minerals and <br />geology to mine the Monarch Quarry. This application will be complete with a resolution of <br />access to adjoining or bounding property owned by Colorado Lime Company pending a <br />resolution on the Small tracts Application. <br />Until such time that the U.S. Forest Service can consummate [he Small Tracts Act case <br />authorization is granted, by copy of this letter, [o Colorado Lime Company. a Colorado <br />Corporation for ingress and egress over National Forest System lands located within the survey <br />boundaries of the Monarch Quarry lying within the SI/2 of Section 33, T50 N, R 6 E, and the <br />N I/2 0l Section 4, T49 N, R 6 E, NMPM and further illustrated on attached map all in Chaffee <br />Counq Colorado. <br />Sincerely, <br />CHARLES E.
