The plan for weed control will involve two steps.
I. Each spring an examination of the site wr71 be made to deter~ae what the weed situation is
and to identify where problem populations axe found If necessary, a map will be produced
to show where these populations aze located and GPS coordinates will be taken to identify
the locations of the problem populations.
2. When a problempopuladon is found that camtot be eontrolledby spot spraying with
corrtawn herbicides (2,4-A; glyphosate; dicatnba; etc.) or mechanical paeans, a licensed
weal control contractor with access to specialized and restricted use herbicides will be
retained to do the control. Far small populations that can be controlled with spot spraying
or mechatcal means (e.g. pulling), control will be irrgtlenuented as appropriate for that
species. (Note: Tt is possible that company pasomrel will obtain the appropriate licensing
so they can acquire and apply restricted herbicides..in that case, hiring a contractor will
not be necessary.)
Adjacent Property Controls:
Continental Materials will not be responsible for controlling weed populations on adjacent land
where expansion into this site is a posarbility, except by prior agreement. However, the owns of that
property will be notified that they have a wad problem that could expand into this site and control will be
requested. This applies as much to public land or county land as it dots to private land. Under the
principles set forth in the Colorado noxious weed control laws, it must be recognized that effective weed
control is not achievable artless all landowners cooperate with the law. if the adjacent owner does not
control kbeir weeds then Continental Materials will take efforts to control weeds that invade into this sire
from that site. if the adjacent weed infestation is a List A species and control by that landowner is not
implemented in accordance with law, then the weed infestation will be reported to the county weed
supeavisot for appropriate action and arty individuals of that species that invade this site will be pxontptly
eradicated
Permit #: M ~/q l Z--~.~1 Confidental?:
Class: ,--.
