The public comment period on our proposed
decision passed with no public comment, thus our decision is final.
All sediment ponds were removed at this site in 1992. There are no remaining point source
discharges at this site and the site is progressing well towazd final bond release. Based on the
interoffice communication received from your office dated May 15, 1996, I believe it is
appropriate that the operator be relieved of the requirement to conduct self-monitoring of these
non-existent point sources. I have instructed the operator to contact you to determine the steps
necessary to de-activate this discharge permit.
If you have any questions, please call me.
Sincer ly,/~J~~',,///J
Kent A.
