Tanforan St. <br />Englewood, Colorado 80110 <br />RE: Deer Creek Quarry <br />Our File No. 79-214/HR <br />Dear Mr. Hayes: <br />I have a progress report on the above captioned operation to the 'fined Land <br />Reclamation Board at their January 23rd meetine and assured them that we eir_re <br />ranking progress toward an adequate permit application for the Bebruary netting. <br />Due to some schedule conflicts, that meeting date has been changed to i3arch 5-c. <br />I gave reviewed your permit application for a.equacy and have several comments. <br />I have organized them on an exhibit-by-exhibit basis for your convenience. <br />Exhibits not mentioned are considered adequate. <br />Application Item 17. Proposed future Land use: <br />It seems to me that Che terraced and planted sitLaticn described in your recla- <br />mation plan ie morn suited to wildlife habitat than agricultural uses. Please <br />clarify this matter. <br />Eahibita C and P: <br />1. Topsoil stockpiles should be shown. If topsoil (or an overburden substitute) <br />ie to be stockpiled in the "waste area," Chis should be mentioned. <br />2. Landowners adjacent to (touching) the permitted acreage should be shown on <br />thn mep and will need to be notified ae par Rule 2.2. <br />3. All walla, springs (or seeps) and reservoirs (including the sediment pond <br />behind check dam) should be shown on this map. Alternatively, you may give <br />a description of the location, extent, etc. of these items. (See `-x}iibit G.) <br />
