(Include here a summary of any measures taken
to comply with your Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP), to fully implement it, changes or improvements
made in any of your Best Management Practices (BMPs), employee training, spills, other problems
encountered, etc. How is your plan working?)
Diversions and conveyance of overland flow to minimize erosion have remained in place and continue to meet
the regulatory requirements of the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geoloey.
Revepetation and detention basins are used to reduce sediment loading and minimize erosion as necessary to
provide protection for topsoil, veeetation, fish and wildlife, and the hydrolo¢ic balance. Several culverts and
structures have required reeular maintenance to ensure continued function of the system. An increased
inspection frequency voluntarily adopted in 2003 in order to identify excessive sediment accumulations in these
structures prior to non-functionin¢ condition continues to be implemented. This practice, in addition to the use
of contract equipment and labor, has reduced the possibility of delayed maintenance when these structures
approach non-functioning condition.
Time has been allocated for trainine employees how toot potential Storm Water Management Plan violations
or non-functioning conditions during mandatory Annual Refresher Training. Specific euidance as it relates to
spills and general system function has also been provided to employees and contractors workin>; on site.
Note -form may be reproduced Page 1 of 3 arb/961t
CF 21.6.4
