Banks and Gesso, LLC
Mine Eouioment
Equipment to be used on site is typical of any operating rock quarry. There will be one
or more tracked rock drills used in the preparations for blasting. Mobile equipment will
consist of graders, dozers and rubber tired front-end loaders. Either front-end loaders
will load material into a hopper for conveyance to the primary crusher or standard haul
units ranging in capacity from 35 to 50 tons will be used to move the shot rock from the
mine face directly to the primary crusher. The actual method of moving shot rock to the
primary crusher may change over time depending upon distances involved and what is
determined to be the most efficient method.
Load-out will initially be accomplished with rubber-tired front-end loaders that will take
the finished product stockpiles and load the material into over-the-road haul trucks. The
haul trucks will then proceed to a scale and then leave the site via the access road.
Once under full production (year three) it may become necessary to use load out bins to
conserve space in the loadout area.
A properly anchored trailer will be used for a combination office/scale house. Bottled
water will be used for employees and portable toilets will be used for sanitation. As the
operational areas of the overall site are expanded, equipment storage and repair
facilities will be constructed.
Fuel and oil needed for equipment will be stored in above ground containers appropriate
for such use. Used petroleum products will also be stored in such containers and
removed periodically from the site for recycling. This storage will be isolated to a
specific area and appropriate spill prevention measures will be taken. A Spill Prevention
Control and Countermeasures Plan (SPCC) will be filed with the appropriate State
agencies.
Commodities and Intended Use of Incidental Products
The purpose of this rock quarry is to produce specification aggregates. There will be no
"incidental products" produced in this operation.
Clear Creek District Water Providers, LLC October 25, 2004
MMRR Ouarry 11 03047
