A REPORT ON THE FACILITY'S OVERALL COMPLIANCE WITH THE SWMP <br />WFC's, New Horizon Mine operated the entire year of 1999 under its SWMP, which is now a part <br />of our NPDES permit. WFC applied and was granted a new NPDES permit for the New Horizon <br />Mine by your office. It was approved October 31, 1994 and went into effect January 1, 1995. <br />WFC's SWMP was fully implemented in 1995, with all ditches, sediment ponds, and clear water <br />diversion ditches designed and constructed to handle a 2.0 inch, 25yr - 24hr rainfall event. <br />These designs and structures were submitted to and approved by Colorado Division of Minerals <br />and Geology. All bulk petroleum storage facilities have containment structures surrounding <br />them. They were designed and constructed to hold the contents from the largest vessel plus the <br />water accumulation from a 10yr - 24hr rainfall event.
