This project was brought to my attention. by adjacent
property owners through sign postings or adjacent property letters. Weld County Public Works have not
been contacted about the maintenance item.
This Camenish property is adjacent to WCR 20.5, which is a gravel road, and. not a part of our designated
haul route for the Rinn area. Flatiron will be hauling approximately 105 truckloads of fill per day. This-road `'~~~:
was not designed as a heavy haul route and will not accommodate that type of direct hauling without
additional upgrade and maintenance.
Dust control is also a problem associated with utilizing gravel road sections. Weld County Public Works : . `.i
Department always requires additional paving of all designated haul routes. Since this is a Special 111
.Permit, it did_not come through the County reviev~ system. Weld County Public Works epartrnenf (s
-~. ,~
requiring that Flatiron Constructors enter into a Road'Maintenance and Improvements Agreement, for this
designated haul route.
In contacting your office, a hearing date of December 7, 2006 has been set. Please include this letter and
requirement into your records as it applies in rule 1.6.2 (I) and (2): all necessary approvals from local
governments have been applied for; also item # 3 under Certification Section 34-2-115 (4) (d), (C:R.S.
1984, as amended,) signature verifying man-made structure (WCR 20.5) located within 200 feet of the
affected lands.
