III IIIIIIIIIIIII III Doc Date:12/11/2001 <br />fG <br />t~2 05.6(2) Fish and Wildlife Plan~~ <br />Highwall heigth at the pit areas and spoil pile slopes are <br />designed to maximize the safety to wildlife. Highwall height <br />will be kept at a minimum. Debris disposal areas will be fenced <br />and flagged to discourage entry by migratory birds and other <br />wildlife. Power lines, if constructed on the permit area, will <br />be in accordance with the guidelines set forth in the <br />Environmental Criteria for Electric Transmission Systems and <br />distribution lines shall be designed and constructed in <br />accordance with REA Bulletin 61-10. <br />Plant yields enhanced by mulch and prevention of livestock <br />• grazing of the revegetated permit area will provide a trend <br />toward improved cover, less erosion, and better wildlife <br />environment. <br />No fish will be encountered. No threatened or endangered <br />species ofi plants or animals are present. <br />The small size of this operation is not expected to create <br />an adversed effect on the wildlife of the permit area or <br />adjacent areas. <br />• <br />
