Paragon Analytics <br />INORGANICS CASE NARRATIVE <br />CEMEX, Inc. <br />A + C Pits <br />Order Number - 0504257 <br />1. This report consists of 2 water samples and 1 waste soil sample. <br />2. The samples were received intact on 04/22/05. The temperature of the samples <br />upon receipt was 11.2° Celsius. <br />3. The samples had been correctly preserved for the requested analyses. <br />4. The samples were prepared for analysis based on Methods for the Chemical <br />Analysis of Waters and Wastes (MCAWW), May 1994 procedures. <br />5. The samples were analyzed following MCAW W procedures for the following <br />methods: <br />Anal e Method SOP # <br />pH 150.1 ] 126 Rev 14 <br />Specific conductance 120.1 1128 Rev 7 <br />6. All standards and solutions were used within their recommended shelf life. <br />7. The samples were prepared and analyzed within the established hold time for each <br />analysis. <br />All in house quality control procedures were followed, as described below. <br />8. General quality control procedures. <br />All initial and continuing calibration verifications (ICV/CCV) associated with <br />each analytical batch were within the acceptance criteria for the requested <br />analytes. This indicates a valid calibration and stable instrument conditions. <br />9. Matrix specific quality control procedures. <br />Sample 0504257-3 was designated as the quality control sample for the specific <br />conductance analysis. Samples 0504257-3 and -5 were designated as the quality <br />control samples for the pH analysis. <br />
