These samples <br />and baseline monitoring samples were analyzed by Hazen Research, Inc. of Golden, Colorado. The <br />compliance monitoring water samples are part of the amended permit requirement (Incas Mine <br />Amendment AM-002) for both surface and underground water. The 1998 compliance water samples <br />have the following sample identification: <br />location & number location 8 number <br />underground water surtace water date sample <br />year Adit 1 Lower Compliance taken <br />1998 98103001 98103002 Oct 30, 1998 <br />Water sample identification is by 8 digits of numbers. Digits 1 8 2 indicate the year. Digits 3 & 4 <br />indicate the month. Digits 5 & 6 indicate the day of the month. Digits 7 & 8 indicate the sample number <br />taken on that date. <br />The underground water sampling location is in an old mine adit located underneath the mine permitted <br />area with the entrance to the adit at the lower portion of the mine permit area. This is Adit 1 as identified <br />on Amendment AM-002 Exhibits. This Adit 1 is also the source of water used in ore processing. The <br />surtace water sampling location is located downgradient of the surface mine permit area in Little <br />Deadwood Gulch. <br />Attached are the following compilation of laboratory results of the water sample analysis and each <br />laboratory analysis of the 1998 compliance monitoring water samples: <br />1. compilation of sample results for underground water, file #dmg 5 \dmg 2/11/1999 <br />2. compilation of sample results for surtace water, file #dmg 61 dmg 2/11N999 <br />3.
