Once a hole has been started, drilling would be <br />continuous, twenty -four hours per day, seven days per week. Periodic five to six day work <br />breaks may be taken every fifteen days (approximately) during each field season. <br />2.1.1 GMUG Conditions for Use and Protection of Non - Mineral Resources <br />The following lists the conditions for use and protection of non - mineral resources identified by <br />the surface management agency and GMUG for the SSCEL per requirements of the Federal Coal <br />Leasing Amendments Act of 1976, and implementing regulations at 43 CFR 3410. These <br />conditions were developed to address issues related to use of NFS lands for the purpose of coal <br />exploration to ensure these activities comply with GMUG Forest Plan standards, USDA -FS <br />Policy, and other applicable legal requirements. <br />Conditions: <br />The following Lease Notice shall be included in all license, prospecting permit, and lease <br />issuance responses to the BLM State Directors (FSM Region 2 Supplement 2900 -94 -1, 2822.42): <br />NOTICE FOR LANDS OF THE NATIONAL FOREST SYSTEM UNDER <br />JURISDICTION OF DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE <br />The permittee/lessee must comply with all the rules and regulations of the Secretary of <br />Agriculture set forth at Title 36, Chapter II, of the Code of Federal Regulations governing the use <br />and management of the National Forest System (NFS) when not inconsistent with the rights <br />granted by the Secretary of Interior in the permit.
