Below is a table summarizing our
minable and recoverable reserves.
•
•
SECTION 15 569 9,653,213 4,826,606
SECTION 16 259 4,998,906 2,499,453
SECTION 21 279 5,195,243 2,597,621
SECTION 22 469 8,571,942 4,285,971
SECTION 28 40 787,248 393;624
FEE COAL 105 1,777,482 888,741
TOTAL PERMIT ;1,721 30,984,034 15,492,016
Total Minable is defined as tons produced from room and pillar mining 11' high (where
possible) in the Total or Lower Cameo seam minus a 500' bum exclusion following the outcrop of
the seam. Recoverable tons equal 50% of minable except where more than 1500' of overburden
exists or where mining within the boundaries of the graben area. Where either of these
conditions exist a 40% recovery factor is used. Where both conditions exist, a 35% recovery
factor is used. Additionally, a 200' barrier pillar on either side of the faults which define the
edges of the graben have been excluded from both minable and recoverable reserve estimates .
M~ Volume 1 4-29-96
