The critical
parameters for the pond are as follows
The area from the bottom of the pond to the headgate and drain pipe is
greater than the plan of 1.40 acre feet of storage (3 year sediment level).
The area from the bottom of the pond to the top of the primary spillway is
greater than the plan of 7.06 acre feet of water and sediment storage.
The depth of the emergency spillway from the top of the embankment is 2
feet.
The height between the bottom of the emergency spillway and the top of the
primary spillway is 1.5 feet. (Juan is currently running the design parameters
to ensure that there is enough freeboard. If there isn't it will be a simple
matter to cut off six inches or so of pipe on the riser.)
The final numbers on the storage capacity of the pond will change as the as-built
is finalized, however, they will meet or exceed the acre-feet requirements as shown in TR-
32, East Taylor Creek Pond and Ditch.
