Dear Mr. Stover:
The Division has received your Notice of Intent to conduct coal exploration (NOI CX-
2004- 153 -13), submitted 26 July 2004, and has made the following findings:
1. The application is complete.
2. The project qualifies as coal exploration rather than coal mining.
3. Your project will substantially disturb the natural land surface. Therefore you will be
required to submit a bond to cover the cost of reclamation. The Division is prepared
to accept the estimate of bond liability provided in the application, the total of
$43,165.00.
The Division will approve the application upon receipt of a bond for that total from
Central Appalachia Mining LLC.
