All wells will be used solely
for the periodic monitoring of aquifer characteristics necessary to obtain
the hydrologic information for an eventual Coal Mining Permit Application.
In addition to the above-described wells, P&M will be installing a series
of twelve shallow alluvial transects. Each transect consists of installing
PVC casings into the water-bearing alluvial terraces at varying depths
(maximum forty feet). The PVC installations will be spaced, on a perpen-
dicular stream line, two hundred and fifty feet. The number of proposed
PVC's per line ranges from six to three, resulting in a total of fifty-
two installations. Again, these installations will be used solely for the
purposes of monitoring water characteristics. The transect locations break
down to nine on Fish Creek, two on Foidel Creek and one on Middle Creek.
Should you have any questions or if additional information is necessary,
please contact me at 759-6893.
Sincerely
RNM:ds
Enclosures
Gulf
• 611951D~~NV OF PULP OIL COMPO R/.T~ON
~. ~I1.,~
Robert N.
