Unless the exposed
groundwater in the pit is located within 100 feet of the Saint Vrain Creek, replacement water
must be appurtenant to the Del-Camino pit site until the groundwater pond exposed after
December 31, 1980 has been completely backfilled and the lagged depletions to the stream
system have ceased. If lagged depletions exist, it is requested that a stream depletion model be
developed to show the amount and timing of the post-pumping depletions and a revised table
be submitted to this office that includes the post-pumping depletions from the backfilled area.
If you have any questions please contact loana Comaniciu of this office.
Sincerely,
~~
Jeff Deatherage, P.E.
Water Resource Engineer
cc: Dave Nettles, Assistant Division Engineer
Scott Edgar, Water Commissioner, District 5
Division of Minerals and Geology
JD/1C/Del Camino M74-52
