This type occupies 67 acres (23~) of the study area. <br />This area will be drill seeded to native species adaptable <br />`~ to the Brea (slopes permitting). Areas with slopes exceeding <br />2.5H:1V will be hydromulched with a combination of the <br />prescribed native seed mix, fertilizer and commercial fiber <br />_ mulch. The mixture in pounds of pure live seed (PLS) per <br />acre follows. <br />_~ Kentucky bluegrass 5#/acre <br />_. (Poa pratensis} <br />Bluebunch wheatgrass 6#/acre <br />- (Agropyron snicatum) <br />Green needlegrass 3#/acre <br />- (Stioa viridula) <br />Thickspike wheatgrass 4#/acre <br />_ (Agropyron dasystachyum) <br />- Total 18#/acre <br />_ This same mixture will be used whether hydromulching <br />- or drill seeding.
