Commitments
are made which, when implemented, will restore lands affected
by mining to pre-mining vegetative capabilities.
Pour native vegetation types on two separate study areas
have been delineated. These types exhibit a variety of cover,
production, density and diversity values as shown in the
Vegetation Inventory. This plan is designed to reestablish
similar vegetation types by restoring similar cover,
production, woody plant density and species diversity through
use of three native seed and stocking mixtures and through
protection and management of newly revegetated areas.
II-2.0 TEMPORARY REVEGETATION
II-2.1 Cover Crovs
Cover crops will be seeded on temporary topsoil and
overburden stockpiles to provide cover protection against
soil erosion.
