Appendix D includes shrub heights <br />.. measured for each individual observed in density <br />determinations. <br />I-3.8 Tree Heights <br />Juniaerus osteosperma was the tallest tree recorded <br />;,_ on the strip mine study area for both study and reference <br />-- areas averaging 19'6" height on the former and 21'2" on the <br />-- latter (Table 16). Pinus edulis averaged 16' on the study <br />area and 17'71" on the reference area.
