I-2.7 Other Surveys <br />In addition to other field work, special reconnaissance <br />surveys were undertaken to note the presence of rare or <br />endangered plants, important winter browse species, and <br />unusual or unique physical features. <br />I-2.8 Plant Identification <br />Plant specimens ware collected and identified by <br />-- personnel of Mine Reclamation Consultants, Inc. and the <br />' Rocky Mountain Herbarium on the IIniversity of Wyoming campus. <br />References for floral names were taken from accepted sources <br />as shown in the list of references (see reference list for <br />• Plant Identification). A species list has been prepared and <br />- is presented in Appendix F. <br />,_ I-3.0 RESIIhTS AND DISCIISSION <br />I-3.1 Vegetation Types and Descriptions <br />Two vegetation types were delineated for the strip mine <br />area, (mountain shrub and pinyon-juniper) and the underground <br />mine portal, (big sagebrush and mountain shrub - north facing <br />- slope).
