I ~ SECTION 1.0 2002 Annual Reclamation Report
As specified by the revisions (1/3/90) to 2CCR 407-2, 2.04.13, Trapper Mine is submitting an Annual
Reciamaticn Report for the previous calendar year (2002).
Historically, section 3.5.3 of Trapper's mining and reclamation permit required a reclamation map be
submitted to the CDMG annually by March 15. Subsequent to 1988 the map entitled the "Postmine
Contour Map" was changed to "Reclamation Map." The reclamation maps developed from aerial
photographs taken during the previous fall shows pit advancements, recontoured spoil areas and a
historical account of the previously regraded areas for the year.
The 2002 reclamation map is a composite of the aerial photographs taken in October 2002, and shows
the reclamation performed during 2002 for all areas under bond. Map(s) 1.0 show the aerial extent and
location of mature shrub clumps, disturbed acres, graded acres, topsoiled acres and perennial seeded
acres during 2002. It also shows the location, aerial extent and reclamation year of all previously
revegetated areas, as well as the projected mature shrub clump establishment areas, topsoil stripping
areas and laydown areas for 2003.

1.2 Results
Table 1.1 and Map(s) 1.0 show the 2002 reclamation results. The various reclamation stages
are addressed below in separate subsections.
1.2.1 Disturbed Acres
In 2002, Trapper disturbed 156.5 acres resulting from topsoil salvage for pit advancement,
haulage corridor construction, topsoil stockpile construction, and other miscellaneous activities
as approved by the Division.
1.2.2 Backfilled and Graded Acres
Trapper backfilled and graded to final contour (AOC) approximately 44.5 acres in 2002. These
acres were in Derringer and Flintlock pits.
1.2.3 Topsoiled Acres
Trapper retopsoiled 44.5 acres during 2002 in Derringer and Flintlock pits.
1.2.4 Seeded Acres
There were 44.5 acres seeded to permanent reclamation in fall 2002. These acres were all in
association with mine pit(s) advancement.
