Long <br /> Division Director <br />Dear Mr. Stover: <br />Thank you for the Yearly Impoundment Inspection Report, submitted under your letter of April 3, 2002, <br />C. B. Minerals Company, LLC CDPS Permit DMR's and Pond Inspection Reports Permit C-84-065 The <br />report has been reviewed, and the following adequacy issues have been identified. Please supplement the <br />report with the requested information. <br />Rule 4.05.9(15) Certified inspection reports required by 4.05.9(14) for all impoundments shall include <br />discussion of Rule 4.05.9(15)(6) Existing and required monitoring procedures and instrumentation, The <br />report states that there aze no required monitoring procedures or instrumentation. However, quarterly and <br />annual inspections are required and have been accomplished. Please cite monthly and yearly <br />inspections as monitoring procedures. <br />Rule 4.05.9(15)(c) The depth and elevation of any impounded waters at the time of the certified report, <br />The depth of water was reported for the west cell of the pond. The elevation was not. Please add the <br />elevatiou of impouuded water to the report. It is likely readily available as the elevation of the bottom <br />of the pond plus 0.5 foot. <br />Rule 4.05.9(15)(d) Existing storage capacity of the impoundment; and As-built storage capacities are <br />reported. However, this entry needs to report existing storage capacity. It would be as-built less occupied <br />(accumulated) sediment storage.
