Surface Water Quality Monitoring: Surface water
quality will be monitored at the Kerr mine site on a weekly
basis during periods of measurable flow for those parameters
listed on the attached sheet labled "Surface Water Analysis
List". Monitoring will occur at those sites delineated on
the accompanying map entitled "Kerr Coal Company 1980 Hydro-
logic Monitoring Sites". In addition, surface water quality
will be regularly monitored during and after the conduct of
surface mining activities at the outlet of those sedimenta-
tion ponds delineated on the attached map entitled "Kerr
Coal Company Drainage and Sediment Control Plan". At the
Kerr tipple site, surface water quality will be monitored at
those locations indicated on the accompanying map entitled
"Kerr Tipple Drainage Control Plan". Sampling at the Kerr
tipple will be done at these monitoring sites on a weekly
basis and will address the full suite of parameters listed
in the attached Surface Water Quality Analysis List.
B. Ground Water Quality Monitoring: Ground water
• quality at the mine site will be monitored at the ground
water monitoring wells indicated on the "Kerr Coal Company
1980 Hydrologic Monitoring Sites" map. This monitoring will
occur on a monthly basis for four parameters: pH, electrical
conductivity, temperature and water level. On a quarterly
basis, water quality at the indicated ground water monitor-
ing sites at the mine will be monitored for the full suite
of parameters listed on the attached sheet entitled "Ground
Water Analysis List". At the Kerr tipple site, ground water
quality will be monitored at the sites indicated on the
"Kerr Tipple Drainage Control Plan" map on a monthly basis
for the entire suite of parameters listed in the attached
"Ground water Analysis List".
C.
