Dear Mr. Grant:
The Division received your letter objecting to the Peat Mine operation, File No. M-94-081,
in ALunosa County, prior to the expiration of the comment period. Pursuant to
Rule 1.7.4(2), if necessary, I will sei the application fora hearing before the Mined Land
Reclamation Board at the January 25-26, 1995 meeting. Meanwhile, pursuant to
Rule 1.4.6., I will set up an informal conference as soon as possible unless, pursuant to
Rule 1.4.6(1)(b), the right to a conference is waived.
Pursuant to Rule 1.4.6(2), at the Informal Conference, each person objecting to the approval
of the application shall set forth the grounds for the objection. The informal conference
officer will listen to all objections but will only consider those that come under the
jurisdiction of the Division. Be prepared to present evidence in support of your objections
(eg engineer reports, geologic reports. etc.).
You will be notified of the date and time of the informal conference. The conference will be
held here in Denver.
