.A III III III IIIIIIIIII ~ Conservation C~DoCity,ACOnu81212 <br />Agriculture Service Phone (719) 275-4465 <br />SUBJECT: Vegetation Report for Reclamation Plan DATE: 10-04-90 <br />T0: Marshall Butler <br />Fremont County Department of Planning and Zoning <br />Fremont County Court House <br />Canon City, CO 81212 <br />PRESENT VEGETATION: Vegetation presently found on the site is mainly <br />native grasses such as Arizona fescue, needlegrass, mountain muhly, <br />slimstem muhly, and blue grama. In the disturbed area the invading <br />grasses found were bottlebrush squirreltail, three-awn, and <br />sleepygrass. The fortis found on the site were mainly hairy gold <br />aster, fringed sagebrush, pingue, and cinquefoil. Rabbithrush and <br />snakeweed were the dominant shrubs found on the site. No trees were <br />found on this site. <br />POTENTIAL VEGETATION: In good condition th=_ potential plant community <br />for this site is mainly mountain muhly, blue grama, Arizona fescue,. <br />western wheatgrass, bluegrass, and prarie junegrass. Ferbs native to <br />this site are fringed sagebrush, hairy gold aster, scarlet globe <br />mallow, and Louisiana sagewort. The native shrubs are rabbitbrush, <br />broom snaF::eweed and true mountain mahogany. Some sites (though not <br />this one) have a scattering of ponderosa pine, pinyon pine, and <br />Gambol oal: <br />NOXIOUS WEEDS: No noxious weeds were found en this site at the time <br />of the inventory and evaluation. <br />
