Liens. Ltssce shall not cause or permit a lien or encumbrance to attach or <br />remain thereon on account of any debt for materials or services furnished to Lessce for <br />operations pursuant to this Lease; provided, however, that Lessee shall not be required <br />to remove any such lien for materials or sen•ices so long az it is contesting, in good faith, <br />the validity yr the amount therrnf. <br />12. ]nde+nnification. lessee agrees to indemnify and save Lessor harmless from <br />and against any and all losses, claims, damages, and liabilities arising or charged to arise <br />as a result of operations by Lessee upon the Leased Premises or othcra•ise pursuant to <br />this Lease. including without limitation, injuries to persons, damage to property, liens <br />claimed or arising out of work performed or things furnished, or failure to comply, or <br />• claims of failure to comply, with applicable governments] laws, regulations, licenses and <br />permits, including these pertaining to protection of the environmental and reclamation of <br />land. This indemnification shall survive termination of this Lease, notwithstanding any <br />rnher p+m•isinn hermf <br />13. Default.
