APPENDIX 3-I <br />PERMIT AREA LEGAL DESCRIPTION <br />The permit area is located east and south of Hayden, Colorado in Rout[ County, Colorado; the coal handling facility area is <br />approximatey two miles southeast of Hayden. The USGS 7.5 quadrangle map Mount Hams, Colorado, contains the described area of <br />the site. <br />The proposed permit area for the Hayden Gulch Loadout contains approximately 175.3 acres. Approximately 97.1 acres of the <br />peitnitted area have been affected. No additional distwbutces are contemplated at this time for the operational life of the facility (see <br />Exhbit 17-1). However, an additional 8.4 acres may be distw{xd during reclamation to accommodate grading activities. <br />The legal description ofthe pemtit area is: <br />A Permit Boundary located in a portion of the following: <br />Section 10: a portion of the Eas[ half <br />Section 14: a portion of the West half <br />Section I5: a portion of the East half of the Eas[ half <br />Section 22: a portion of [he northeast quarter <br />Section 23: a portion of the North half of the North half of the northwest quarter, all in Township 6 North, Range 88 <br />West of the 6'" P.M., Routt County, Colorado, more particularly described as follows: <br />Beginning at a point which lies South 48°28'47" East 199.00 feet from the southwest corner of said Section 14; <br />thence North 00°35'47" West 140.00 feet; <br />thence South 87°37'47" East 140.00 feet; <br />thence North 71°37'13" East 80.00 feet; <br />thence North 89°18'13" East 330.00 feet; <br />thence South 00°41'47" East 35.00 feet; <br />thence North 89° 18' 13" East 555.00 feet; <br />thence South 00°41'47" East 25.00 feet; <br />thence North 72°37'39" East 238.97 feet; <br />thence North 03°59'13" East 85.00 feet; <br />thence North 76°10'13" East 404.00 feet; <br />thence North 58°45'13" East 215.00 feet; <br />thence North 88°04' 13" East 85.00 feet; <br />thence North 33°02'30" East 317.00 feet to a point lying 100 feet easterly from the centerline of [he existing railroad <br />track; <br />thence along a line lying 100 feet easterly and running parallel to said existing railroad track the following courses: <br />TR-07 3-1.1 Revised 06/06 <br />
