PERMIT AREA LEGAL DESCRIPTION
The permit area is located east and south of Hayden, Colorado in Rout[ County, Colorado; the coal handling facility area is
approximatey two miles southeast of Hayden. The USGS 7.5 quadrangle map Mount Hams, Colorado, contains the described area of
the site.
The proposed permit area for the Hayden Gulch Loadout contains approximately 175.3 acres. Approximately 97.1 acres of the
peitnitted area have been affected. No additional distwbutces are contemplated at this time for the operational life of the facility (see
Exhbit 17-1). However, an additional 8.4 acres may be distw{xd during reclamation to accommodate grading activities.
The legal description ofthe pemtit area is:
