HORVATH PIT #1 - #77-546 <br />Mining Plan: <br />Six to eight feet of overburden and topsoil will be <br />removed with a dozer, loader and motor grader. Gravel will <br />be removed to a depth of 18 to 30 feet with a dozer, loader <br />and motor grader. Part of the gravel will be crushed and <br />part will be used pit run. Topsail will be stockpiled as Tong <br />as it is necessary to open the pit up and maintain a working <br />area in the pit. Dewatering of the pit will not be necessary <br />as the water table depth lies 50 to 65 feet below the surface. <br />Access to the pit area will be by gravel road way on land <br />owned by ourselves. <br />Reclamation Plan: <br />The pit will be in existence until 1 December 1990 <br />as per public notice. ,Topsoil and overburden will be <br />replaced with a dozer, loader and motor grader to a <br />depth of six inches to eight feet. All recommendations made <br />by SCS concerning topsoil replacement and final slope of <br />pit will be followed. A grain drill will be used to seed <br />the mixture of grass and alfalfa as per your staff <br />recommendation of 8 lbs/ac Smooth brome, 1 lb/ac Timothy, <br />2 lbs/ac Orchard Grass and 5 1bs/ac alfalfa. <br />
