6.0 CULTURAL RESOURCES AND BIOLOGICAL CLEARANCES
Cultural and paleontological resources, threatened and endangered (T & E) species block
clearance assessments have been completed in 2005 for the roads and sites included in this NOI.
Copies of the reports have previously been forwarded to the Division and appropriate agency(s)
as soon as they were completed. The areas to be drilled aze located in the mountain shrub and
Juniper woodland vegetative communities and the block clearance report indicate no need to
conduct nesting raptor surveys due to the lack of nesting habitat. The block cleazance report has
determined that the exploration and reclamation described will not jeopardize the continued
existence of an endangered or threatened species listed pursuant to Section 4 of the Endangered
Species Act of 1973 (16 U.S.C. 1533) or the Nongame, Endangered or Threatened Species
Conservation Act (Section 33-8-101 et seg C.R.S.) or result in the destruction or adverse
modification of critical habitat of those species.
9.0 RECLAMATION COST ESTIMATE
There is approximately 17,200' of new temporary road construction, 1.75 acres of pad
disturbance and 6,900' of total drill depth. OMLLC requests that the Division prepaze the
reclamation cost estimate for the 7 drill pads and road reclamation.
• Page 6
