Vehicular travel on other than established graded and surfaced roads shall be limited by Oxbow
Mining LLC to that absolutely necessary to conduct the exploration. Travel will be confined to
graded and surfaced roads during periods when excessive damage to vegetation or rutting of the
land surface could result. The proposed activities will not require upland diversions, or
diversions of ephemeral, intermittent or perennial streams.
Drill Site Construction -The seven (7) holes proposed in this 2007 exploration program can be
summarized by the following information:
Reopened
Site # Surface Status New Road Road/trail Hole Depth
1 ECM-XX-46 BLM PLAN None 0' 1,430'
2 ECM-XX-61 BLM PLAN 1550' 0' 850'
3 ECM-XX-62 BLM PLAN 3850' 0' 650'
4 ECM-XX-63 BLM PLAN 4400' 0' 1,140'
5 ECM-XX-64 BLM PLAN 1400' 0' 800'
6 ECM-XX-65 BLM PLAN 3000' 2800'
(ECM-04-40 700'
7 ECM-XX-66 BLM PLAN 3000' 0' 1,330'
Total 17,200' 2800' 6,900'
Most drilling can be conducted with minimal site prepazation, since the drill rig can be set-up
and leveled using self-contained hydraulic jacks. Where site preparation is necessary due to the
need to utilize drilling fluids, a pad having maximum dimensions of approximately 80 feet in
width and 130 feet in length will be established. Pad preparation will involve the use of a
tracked dozer or backhoe to establish a level drill site. If topsoil exists, up to 12" will be
salvaged and stored in a stockpile(s) located along the side of the pad and marked with a
"topsoil" sign. Soil stripping will not occur in areas that have been previously disturbed and
little or no soil material remains, typically in areas of 30% or greater slopes. The pad sites will
be restored to approximate original contour. Shrubs, trees and other organic matter removed
during pad preparation may be incorporated onto the regraded surface prior to seeding to
enhance reclamation of this disturbed site.
Each mud pit will typically be sized approximately 20 feet in length, 4 feet in width and 8 feet
deep (23.7 cubic yazds each). The pits will generally be located in the "cut" portion of the pad
for pad stability. The maximum disturbance azea for each drill site is expected to be
approximately 0.25 acres.
No surface blasting is anticipated.
Drillin¢ and Related Activities - 6 '/a" drill holes will be drilled using rotary or auger drilling
methods to the depth of the desired coring interval. In order to avoid potential sample
contamination, drill holes will be completed to the extent possible with air, air-foam, or water as
the circulation medium. If drilling muds aze necessary to maintain circulation and drill hole
integrity, polymer muds that are free of metallic compounds will be utilized.
All drilling and related operations will be conducted by experienced exploration drillers in such a
way as to minimize potential environmental impacts, and will be supervised by a qualified
geologist or engineer. During drilling operations, water levels and flows in the drill holes (if
• Page 4
