If gravel processin becomes economically feasible in the future, gravels may also be developed, but a permit amendment will be request before any commercial gravel operations are undertaken. The applicant requests a permit area for only 160 acres of the entire 620 acres of the claim group. The appli ant has • no plans to mine west of Colorado Highway 9. Am ndments will be submitted at a later date for any other areas beyond the 160 acres. The method for mining the property is divided ii stages; site construction and preparation, minin tions, and Einal abandonment. Each stage of the mil has been designed to minimize environmental deter and to facilitate the reclamation process. A mine map depicting the stages of mining is presented in C, Plate 4. Site Construction and Preparation During this stage of the mining methods, access ro< be upgraded, and the processing plant facilities an ment will be moved on site and constructed.
