COLORADO MARKETING ASSOCIATES, iNC.
Greenwood Plaza
5660 5. Syracuse Circle, Suite 406
Englewood, Colorado 8011!
(303)770-0633
July 13, 1983
Douglas County Department of Highways
301 S. Lewis Street
Castle Rock, CO 80104
To Whom It May Concern
Gentlemen:
Attached please find an "application for Access Approach
Permit" and several appropriate attachments.
In Mr. Weatherly's letter of 6/30/83 to Sandy Tarter, he
indicates a desire to see hauling units use the Tomah
interchange for all exiting traffic patterns. I see no
problem with such a pattern.
In attempting to anticipate requests from you on items
11 A and F, we plan to install two 60" culverts in Plum
Creek,( the old ones washed away this past spring) approxi-
mately 20' long with appropriate gravel cover with heavy
Rip-Rap on the upstream wings as necessary.
If you require, a decellaration lane could be built on the
east side of the service road for traffic coming into the
driveway from the south.
I think you will find the necessary information regarding
annual usage on the attached permit application, but based
on 110 permit limitations of 70,000 tons per year, these
figures represent maximum hauling during the 6 month
gravel season.
We would welcome any input on how to mitigate damage by
hauling units to the frontage road.
Sincerly/~
of D. Smy he
Colorado Marketing Associates,Inc.
JDS:jc
