This monthly inspection is conducted by the Safety <br />:Engineer and hie report is reviewed and approved by the Nine <br />Manager and submitted to the corporate office for final review. <br />Employee Trainin¢ <br />Considering the nature of the material handled (flammable <br />liquids), no specialized training is required other than routine <br />fire protection training. Employees are instructed on proper <br />operating procedure around fuel storage areas.+ Ia the event of a <br />spill, employees are instructed to implement the necessary fire <br />preventive measures and to quickly insure the containment berm is <br />holding steadily, and there are no other seeps. Additionally, the <br />site is within two and one half (2 1/2) miles of Trinidad, Colorado <br />which allows considerable flexibility. <br />Preventive Maintenance <br />No scheduled maintenance ie required on the tanks; all equipment <br />Ci.e. fittings, hoses, etc.> is in daily use, highly visible to <br />many employees, and is maintained and repaired as required. <br />Maintenance of surface water diversion structures and evaporation <br />ponds is done in response to the needs identified in the monthly <br />inspection of these facilities. <br />Security <br />All fuel tank storage valves will be locked when not in use. <br />-5- <br />
