-~: • s <br />EXIiIBIT B - MINING PLAN <br />Method <br />This mining operation involves removing san3 aad gravel from a <br />terrace deposit_ Existing topsoil will be removed by scraper and <br />will be stockpiled at the north edge of the area to be mined until <br />use on the excavated terrace slope. A loader or scraper will then <br />excavate the aggregate to form a 2:1 slops at. the north of the <br />excavation. Greatest depth of excavation will be approximately 55 <br />feet. .Gravel will be crushed and hauled to the job site or used <br />by_thQ~asphalt plant an site. <br />Water Diversion and Impoundment <br />Aggregate will be mined dry. No dewatering trenches will be dug; <br />no water will be pumped into any stream. No stream will be diverted, <br />nor will mining involve impoundment of water. <br />- _ Size of Areas - Phasing - Dist~bances <br />Proposed.startiag date. is only 23,:19HD_ Approximately S acres will <br />be mined over a period of 2 to 3 years. Actual consumption depends <br />on success in bidding and general economic conditions and is not, <br />therefore, completely predictable. Mining will proceed from west <br />to east. <br />
