(Lafazge) continue io negotiate along-term lease of
reusable effluent. In recognition of these discussions and in good faith, the Oity of Aurora has made releases
of reusable effluent since November 2006 for replacement of depletions fro~l Lafazge's mining sites in the
South Platte River basin.
We understand Lafarge must renew several substitute water supply plans (SWSPs) for the new water year
starting November 1, 2007. The Gity of Aurora will continue to make releases of reusable effluent up to a
maximum volume of 249 acre-feet for the Lafazge SWSPs. After the i~~egotiations are complete, the
agreement must go to the Aurora City Council for approval. Upon request a final copy of the agreement will
be provided to the State Engineer's Office.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Since~rely~,
John M h ~~%~~~
wP Y
Water Resources Engineer
cc.
