LJ <br /> <br />• <br />3.4.A.11 SEALING AND ABANDONMENT PLAN <br />Upon completion of mining in the B seam, the slopes and ventilation <br />shaft will be permanently sealed under the then approved M.S.H.A. <br />ventilation plan for the Mt. Gunnison No. 1 Mine. Under the cur_.~t <br />plan no openings to the surface are present and all seals wil_ ~e <br />underground. Portions of the slopes and ventilation shaft may be left <br />open for access to the E seam. Future plans are not known at this time. <br />WECC will provide appropriate seal designs for the slopes and <br />ventilation shaft connecting the F, E, and B coal seams for CMLRD to <br />review prior to sealing. The seal designs will take into account the <br />actual conditions for the particular areas for both quality and quantity <br />of water, if present. <br /> <br />
