Copies of this document are also being
distributed to James Cagney of the Bureau of Land Management Office in Meeker and Robert Becker of
the Environmental Protection Agency Region VIII office in Denver.
In recent conversations, we agreed to provide calculations of descriptive statistics using one half the
detection limit as the representative number in instances were the values are reported below detection.
All statistics are calculated in this manner in the tables following the data summary tables for each
individual well. In addition, at your request, tables and charts of water level data for each well rather than
potentiometric surface plots are provided.
Behind the tab for well location 21~, you will find the welt history data and completion information far a
new well (21~DX), that was drilled in February 2000, to re lace the loss of the dissolution surface well
at this location. The location of the new well is approximately 30 feet away from the original 21~D well
on the same pad.
Our discussions in the past weeks have briefly included specifics of some of the individual chemical
constituents from the wells. Included with this letter are charts for each well indicating arsenic
concentrations, water elevations, and the respective MDLs, and CDPHE standards for your review.
Should you have any questions regarding this report, please contact me at (970) 285-0407 or Celina
Akin at (970) 285-0406.
Sincerely,
~~~
Ed Cooley
General Services Manager
Cc: James Cagney, BLM
Robert Becker, EPA
Natural Sodium Products For A Cleaner Environment
