Box 187
Craig, CO 81626
Dear Bruce.

B111 Agnew asked me to write a letter concerning the clay
content in the spoil material which we recently analyzed. This
material i5 relatively high in clay (many samples contain
approximately 35~ clay). Fortunately the sodium and SAR levels
are low so there should not be problems caused by dispersion of
the clay. Since the clays will remain flocculated> aeration and
water infiltration should not be seriously inhibited. I do not
feel that the clay content in most of the samples will cause
revegetation difficulties. Please call if you have questions.
Sincerely,
~ti-r ~vD~t~il.,,
Steve 4lorkman
Research Associate
Soil Testing Laboratory
