/'i1.+tL Laboratories, Inc.
2773 Downhill Drive Steamboat Springs, CO 8048. (800) 334-5493
Project ID: 22421.002
ACZ Project ID: L43079
ACZ Laboratories, Inc. (ACZ) received 5 ground water samples from Brown antl Caldwell on September 25, 2003. The
samples were received in good condition. Upon receipt, the sample custodian removed the samples from the cooler,
inspected the contents, and logged the samples into ACZ's computerized Laboratory Information Management System
(LIMB). The samples were assigned ACZ LIMB project number L43079. The custodian verified the sample information
entered into the computer against the chain of custody (COC) forms and sample bottle labels.
All analyses were performed within EPA recommended holding times
These samples were analyzed for inorganic, radiochemistry parameters. The individual methods are referenced on both,
the ACZ invoice and the analytical reports. The following anomaly required further explanation not provided by the Extended
Qualifier Report:
1. For Boron, the ICV was out of control limits with a recovery of 91.7%. Normally the control limits are 95-105%. However,
it was determined through investigation that Boron is in this standard at 9.3 mg/L not 10 mg/L. The control limits were
adjusted to 88-108% and the data was accepted.
REPAD.02.11.00.01
L43079: Page 2 of 26
Brown and Caldwell November O5, 2003
