C, <br />• <br />APPLICATION OF CASTLE CONCRETE COi'1PANY <br />EXHIBITS I AND J <br />REVISED SOILS AND VEGETA^1IOiI Iiv'VEi`?TORIES <br />The applicant intends to follow most of the recommenda- <br />tions of the Revised Inventory and Evaluation of Soil and Water <br />Resources prepared by Donald E. P~ielsen of the U. S. Conservation <br />Service dated August 22, 1977, whiciz follows this statement. How- <br />ever on page 3 of the Inventory the applicant has found that with <br />its current method of anchoring seed, satisfactory germination has <br />occurred and that comprehensive mulching may not be necessary. <br />The applicant has found as to the method of seeding (page <br />5 item 7) that the drag and broadcast seed by a whirly spreader <br />is effective. <br />As to item 9 (page 5) protection from normal browsing and <br />grazing by animals has not been a problem in areas currently being <br />reclaimed and agrees that excessive traffic, people and vehicles, <br />should be prohibited during the incubatory period. <br />As to item 6 (D. Queens Canyon Quarry) the daias referred <br />to are not on the property of the applicant and are believed to be <br />owned by the Flying W Ranch, Inc. The applicant does not own or <br />control the property. <br /> <br />
