MUNGER CANYON SEDIMENTATION RESERVOIR <br />(a) Runoff and Volumes <br />Determine: <br />Maximum runoff area and peak discharges <br />Reservoir liquid volume <br />Reservoir sediment volume <br />Total Reservoir volume <br />The Sedimentation Reservoir shall be located downstream <br />of the Munger Mine Site at the base of the embankment. The <br />reservoir shall provide sediment detention for surface runoff <br />from the disturbed area at the Munger Canyon Mine Portals. <br />Surface runoff from the office and working area shall be <br />collected by ditches and conveyed by gravity to the Sedimenta- <br />tion Reservoir through an 18" diameter corrugated pipe buried <br />buried along the outslope of the embankment. Additional surface <br />runoff from the embankment outslope shall be collected and <br />detained by the reservoir. <br />Area: <br />Assumed total area is 5 acres with the surface runoff from <br />2.5 acres of the office and working area contributing to the <br />peak discharge through the culvert. <br />At = 5 Acres (Use total area for sediment yield <br />calculations). <br />Ad = 2.5 Acres (Use for peak discharge calculations). <br />lJ <br />
